NCPP 2007–2010: A New Agenda
Introduction
The establishment on a statutory basis of the National Centre for Partnership and Performance, together with the National Workplace Strategy and the Towards 2016 national social partnership agreement, create a dynamic context for the work of the NCPP in leading and supporting transformation in Irish workplaces.
The critical focus in the period 2007–2010 will be on workplace innovation and change, based on partnership and mutual benefit for employers and employees alike. The challenge is to improve organisational performance significantly and, in doing so, to sustain and increase our competitive position internationally, while at the same involving and supporting the well-being of all our workers.
The National Workplace Strategy and Towards 2016 both reaffirm the pivotal role of partnership as the core mechanism that will deliver real gains for the Irish economy and Irish society generally. In response to these important policy initiatives, the NCPP is working to embed partnership as a critical element of the response to the challenges of managing and leading workplace transformation and change in Ireland.
Building on the priorities contained within the National Workplace Strategy and Towards 2016, the NCPP aims to support innovation, improve capacity for change and enhance the quality of working life in all Irish workplaces, regardless of size or sector.
These strategic priorities underpin our mission, guide our work programme and ensure that we continue to promote and facilitate workplace transformation in Ireland.
