About Us
The National Centre for Partnership & Performance (NCPP) was established by Government in 2001 to promote and facilitate partnership-led change and innovation in Ireland’s workplaces.
By building and supporting the case for workplace change and innovation through increased levels of employee involvement and engagement, the NCPP’s objective is to contribute to national competitiveness, enhanced public services and a better quality of working life for employers and employees alike.
At the heart of the Centre's mission is workplace innovation - new ways of working based on new ideas, practices and behaviours that can significantly benefit organisations and their employees in terms of productivity, performance, flexibility, commitment and job satisfaction.
The NCPP’s work programme for 2009 is focused on positioning and promoting workplace innovation as a key component of our National System of Innovation, and as a critical element of the State’s response to the current economic downturn, in line with the Government's recently announced Framework for Sustainable Economic Renewal.
The NCPP is also responsible for overseeing implementation of the National Workplace Strategy, the Government's blueprint to transform Irish workplaces into high-performance, high-quality places of work characterised by innovation, creativity and high levels of employee participation.
The NCPP provides information, research, advice and guidance to private and public-sector organisations committed to exploring and implementing programmes of workplace change and innovation through partnership.
We welcome contact and queries from anyone with an interest in workplace development in Ireland (see contact details below).
In January 2007, the NCPP was placed on a statutory footing as part of the National Economic & Social Development Office (NESDO). NESDO’s other constituent bodies are the National Economic & Social Council (NESC) and the National Economic & Social Forum (NESF).
